Pre & Post Injection Instructions - PLEASE READ IN FULL

Pre-Injection:

  1. You will coordinate your procedure date with our Procedure Coordinator. She will send you a prescription for lab work, along with this instruction sheet. You will be required to have the lab work done within one month of the procedure. If you do not have the lab work completed prior to the procedure, your procedure date will have to be rescheduled.

  2. You must stop all steroid treatments at least four weeks prior to the procedure date.

  3. You must stop all NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and blood thinners seven days prior to your procedure date. Please check with your PCP or cardiologist prior to stopping blood thinning medications.

  4. If you are from out of town, please prepare to stay for at least three full days in the area. You will receive another attachment of recommended places to stay.

  5. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled the same day as you schedule your procedure date. This will be scheduled for six weeks out from treatment.

  6. It is optional, however, recommended that you undergo an intermittent fasting diet five days before and after the procedure.

  7. If you are taking peptides PRIOR to your procedure, you do not have to travel with them. It is OK to stop treatment for travel and resume once you return home. Peptide medications will be shipped directly to your residence or the address of your choice.

Post-Injection:

  1. Avoid NSAIDs for at least 72 hours. It is OK to start blood thinners seven days after treatment.

  2. You may experience increased pain and inflammation for up to six to eight weeks after treatment. This is typically normal, however, if you develop fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, rash, chest pain, or difficulty breathing, please call the office and report to the nearest emergency room.

  3. Do not submerge under water for 48 hours.

  4. Your follow-up appointment will be scheduled for six weeks after your procedure.

  5. Restrictions: light activity for 24 hours after your injection. This includes no bending, heavy lifting, twisting, exercising, or outdoor activities.

  6. You may take Tylenol for pain control. We recommend taking 3,000mg a day for pain (unless you have liver issues or an allergy to acetaminophen).

  7. We encourage you to take a multivitamin daily to optimize cell performance and drink plenty of water.
