Dr. Shafiq is a board-certified neurosurgeon dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida in 2010 and received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, in 2014. He went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in endoscopic skull base neurosurgery at Weill Cornell College of Medicine in 2018. 

Trained at a high-volume, Level-1 trauma center, Dr. Shafiq brings robust and comprehensive surgical experience to his practice. He is also extensively trained in minimally invasive spine surgery, allowing him to offer advanced, motion-preserving techniques for spinal conditions. He joined Premier NeuroSpine in 2022, where he focuses on the treatment of general neurosurgical and adult spinal disorders using a multidisciplinary approach that combines surgical and conservative modalities to optimize patient outcomes.
